City Week Ahead

Capital budget Tuesday and the end of September. My favorite meeting this week, 4:30 AM Public Library Board! :) See you there!

A Municipal Co-Op Internet Utility for Madison?

The first round of Capital Budget Amendments are out, and included is a proposal from Scott Resnick to start a Madison Co-op Internet Utility, and a proposal from Paul Soglin for expanding Internet connectivity at “community and cultural” centers The budget amendments don’t get a lot of space to really explain the background information and details, so I thought I’d round up a few documents and put things in one place.

It's the ex-alder in me, I feel obligated to pass this along, plus, I've been sick and have nothing else to blog about! :) And someone is going to ask, and I will be able to say "it's on my blog" and quickly find it!

What will the Council talk about Tonight? (Updated)

Very few items.

This Winter’s Non-Day Center Plans

So, there will be no day center again this winter and once again, for the 4th year in a row, are planning a temporary solution. What is wrong with this community that we can't get this right? Even at my most cynical moments, I would have never imagined it.
