Another email from the mayor . . . update and a question

I'm volunteering for Capitol Neighborhoods at the Mifflin St Block Party to help inform people at the event what to expect (I feel obligated, I voted on the exec committee to help sponsor the event) . . . we've come a long way from where it started.

Alder Rummel will be having a neighborhood meeting on Monday . . .

Not this. But this. And it takes 4 officers. Community policing!!! I'm sure that is what this is. At any point they're break out some cards and play Euchre or a basketball and shoot some hoops. Wait, that's only for elderly and kids under the age of 14.

I went to the first one, the presentation was oddly corporate and cheesy, here's the next one, tomorrow.

What amendments will the council discuss, what does the Mayor think of those amendments and their hopes and dreams to finish the budget in one night . . . tonight!

How will you participate in your local government this week? After the election it seems I was barraged with people saying they want to get involved locally to deal with Trump and asking what they should do. It's a hard question to answer, since there is so much going on. Here's some things you might be interested in this week . . . and of course, people are out circulating nomination papers to run for office right now . . . so there's always campaigns to be involved in! (Madison City Council, School Board, Fitchburg and other municipalities)

Yesterday, Governor Walker Signed SB107 into law, it will likely be published by the Secretary of State and go into effect on December 18th - details below. You can watch here to see the REALTORS claim victory and ask for contributions to continue their work.
