Streets Department Updates

This things sounds like a public meeting, the Mayor will be there, so will George Austin from OvertureWARF/City High Speed Rail Planning and Al Fish from the UW . . . all public officials, but so see them you have to pay . . . $20, does that seem right? Do they really want neighborhood associations to be there, when they have it scheduled during the work day? This thing just seems odd.

Human Services yet again looking at cutting "non-mandated services" in favor of "mandated services" which of course includes cutting all housing and homelessness programs which are "non-mandated".

Big closures on East Washington Avenue inbound . . . you might need to find a different way to get to work . . .

Seriously. If the mayor wants to pitch a fit about something not being in legistar (its not our fault he couldn't figure out it was in there), then why isn't he freakin' out about the late notice for these meetings? Not just one item on an agenda, but entire meetings being noticed late! Hmmmmmm . . . .

No sign of towing in my 'hood. If they say they are going to tow and don't, then it just adds to the problem of not being predictable. My guess is tonight, people won't think they have to move because it is the third night of snow and the plowing was kinda atrocious/not so evident.
