15 meetings with meetings at such lovely times as 3:45, 7am, 1pm, 3pm, 9am, 1pm. Convenient for the public and county board supervisors with day jobs

30 meetings this week, 13 of them are on Wednesday. Some are at such lovely times as 11am, 10am, 11am, 1:30, 3:30, 8am and 12:30. I'm guessing they don't intend for the public (or alder with day jobs) to actually attend.

Only two meetings, both Monday, 1 cancelled.

Another vacancy starting August 8th, no election. Will be appointed by the council.

3 meetings, the one in closed session you can tell what it's about! School board will be passing its preliminary budget that came out on Friday in its final form.

A mess, as per usual - 25 meetings, 4 meetings in legistar without agendas (only 1 appears on clerk's weekly schedule), 4 meetings cancelled, 6 meetings start before 4pm, one is listed twice (well, actually, three times)? and who knows how many more will pop up this week.

Ack, work got in the way . . .

Gloria Reyes tells us why she thinks the school board was meeting, despite staff saying that the reason couldn't be told to the public because that would harm the reputation of those involved. Her statements make the illegal meeting seem even less properly noticed. However, I'm not sure the school board members even knew why they were meeting. TJ Mertz and Nicki Vander Muelen vote not to go into closed session. Dean Loumos and James Howard agree the notice was not appropriate but feel its urgent to meet so ignore the open meetings issues and think it can be fixed later . . . here's the video.

Seems interesting that both Alder Denise DeMarb and County Board Supervisor George Gillis announced their resignations at about the same time. Here's a little lesson in why . . .
