At noon today on WORT I will be talking with Alder David Ahrens, School Board Member TJ Mertz and Activist Susan Pastor about why we all should care about another big building or two downtown on the two blocks where the municipal building and the government east parking ramp is.

Ok, I asked for information on the collective community ban . . . and got a whole lot more than I expected.

I knock the city council for many things . . . but they are light years ahead of the county board.

A few members of the county board have been openly discussing their disdain for the public and the message is getting through loud and clear for me. This year's budget has been the worst! I don't know why they are so opposed to public input, but its kinda disgusting.

Hey - I got an idea, can we collectively ban a few people I don't like from my community. For failing to use common sense . . .

Follow up to this, not much has changed. Apparently, its a public health problem enough to send out an email . . . but not enough to actually solve the problem. I don't get it

Unless we show up and have the at least listen to us on other topics . . .

I am so annoyed by this . . . 4 so far . . . including the FREAKING ETHICS BOARD! There is no hope. The disregard towards the public is so engrained in the culture of city hall after Mayor Dave it is pathetic. Where are the watchdogs to make this better? We need Alder Satya Rhodes-Conway back!
