Please read Tami Miller's words that were posted on Feeding the State St. Family Facebook group and then tell me, won't you be there today at 4:30 if you can!

It wasn't one of a neighborhood up in arms about all kinds of NIMBY issues - they just wanted what most of us want - information and to be treated with respect. And based on their vote at the end of the meeting . . . I think many are comfortable with this happening in the neighborhood - but think it is not the best option. And they learned of another option.

Dualing TIF committees and other issues. Yeah, live blogged again. This is the EDC subcommittee on TIF. For the geeks, and...

The Mayor came to the EDC a few weeks back and asked them to talk about TIF policy. The EDC created a subcommittee, which met for the first time on October 2nd. Behind the jump are my notes, and the audio of the meeting. The subcommittee meets again today at 3:30pm in LL130 of the Madison Municipal Building. For extra confusion, this is not the TIF subcommittee that CCOC discussed on October 2nd. No one I've asked can tell me what that committee is going to do that the EDC committee isn't.

This is separated out because it contains some pretty big news for non-profits and their supporters. In fact, if you ask me, it was the only news of the evening.

So, here we go again, will do my best - "live blogged"

Bus fares, bus wraps and empty buses. What's on the council's mind?

It's much less complicated and much more certain. And by the way, no one showed up to talk about the city budget last night at Board of Estimates. Not. one. person. So, all is well?

At the moment . . . it changes . . .

All the prices are going up, not just the one-ride price. Monthly bus passes would be up to $64. And the low-income price, essentially unaffordable.
