So many questions about this project. And so few answers. The lack of county transparency once again is alarming.

This is a brief recap - not very detailed. I'd suggest watching the video starting at 1:05 for public testimony and 1:28 for discussion - its about 50 minutes long if you watch just the discussion. Koval is combative as usual, particularly with Rummel but also in his atrocious use of language.

What happened?!?!? The county's process for making decisions about who gets the RFPs really needs review. You've heard me say it before, but this time its insane! The county board passed a resolution (2016 RES-497) about a process - the process wasn't followed - including leaving out the alder and county board supervisor from the project area. There were 7 applicants, but we can't see their proposals (I'm working on it, but I don't even know who they all are) and again, it was announced as if its a done deal with no public input and as if it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. It's the county tho, so its not really a surprise.

Dang - the city CAN move quickly if it wants to ram something through the process! Vote Tonight!

No legal notice posted for this week, its not attached . . . so I'm probably missing some meetings, but here are the bigger ones. Update: A school board member got me a draft document and gave me a link, but that link doesn't work for me, so I added the Nuestro Mundo, School Forest Advisory Board and the Advanced Learning Advisory Council - but they were marked DRAFT.

Meetings they don't want the public to attend at 2:30, 3:45, noon, 9am . . . seriously?

Something is not right again, the weekly schedule and legistar have different information and I had to put the pieces together again. And again, probably the biggest thing this week, the OIR report on the police joint presentation on Thursday doesn't have an available agenda.

There's a mockery of a public hearing at the state capital today on the bill that will further erode tenants rights . . . for the first time in 6 years . . . I decided not to go today, that my efforts were better spent elsewhere.

To right several wrongs. To save precious memorabilia, to save donors having to buy more sleeping bags, back packs, etc., to save volunteers from having to redistribute these items. To save the planet. Because its the right thing to do.

Every two years we revise our county board platform which we expect our elected officials to adhere to as closely as possible in their policy votes - some do better than others. This year there were pretty siginficant updates. Haters . . . 1, 2, 3, GO!
