The Urban Design Commission and Economic Development Commission both had this item on their agenda last night. I was the only member of the public to make it to both, and only two staff did, which is a shame, because I think the UDC was grossly misrepresented at EDC.

Here's what I know, will update when I know more.

Ok - I'm back from vacation. Didja miss me? 16 meeting left, 2 cancelled. Liquor licenses that are under extra scrutiny in the annual review, the 5 year parks & open space plan and choosing cheap electricity over affirmative action are the areas of interest.

Oooops, busted.

8 out of 17 meetings before 5:00 - those are the ones they REALLY don't want you (or the county board supervisors) to go to. Don't worry, its minor topics that the public doesn't care about like what happens at the Alliant Energy Center, re-writing the zoning code, criminal justice related items, and topics like trees. Clearly small minor committee and topics the public don't care about.
