City Week Ahead

Well . . . 21 meetings, 1 cancelled, 5 agendas unavailable for various reasons. So, here's the other 15 meetings I can tell you about. Note: Are the police going to talk about drones? (UAS program?) Do they have one? Or want one?

Monkeys and Ethics

Um, this has nothing to do with the Overture.

Ooops, don’t blame your alder!

Uh, if you sent an email to all alders and didn't get a reply . . . it may mean they never got it!

On your own again this week.

Sorry, one more week of weak blogging.

Mysterious Meeting tonight

Ok, I'm presenting at it, its for the County Board Supervisors and Alders, but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Camp Quixote and Quixote Village

Olympia Washington . . . perhaps the smallest city by the numbers, but clearly a larger metropolitan area. 50,000 population, roughly.

Today’s exercise in stupidity . . .

I'll be in court tomorrow, but I wanted to get this in writing in case I'm not allowed to speak.

County Criminal Justice Workgroups: Where are we now?

Well, here's the official update . . .new data analyst to be hired this spring, seeking grants for training, one-day court train on implicit bias, a new work group on diversion programs, sheriff updates on solitary confinement, information on bail determinations, signature bonds and initial appearances, and more grants for 12 - 16 year old Madison youth to all be able to go through restorative justice programs rather than getting a municipal citation. Hmm. Progress, but what next? We're not done are we?

Capital Budget Amendments! Part II

Looks like there will be a part 3 or 4 as well . . . 7 hours and 15 minutes meeting. Here's everything but the capital budget and capital budget part 1. But I have 4 hours left to go and I won't finish this morning.

Poll Workers Still Needed for Tomorrow

Kinda surprised - but I guess there is no sense of urgency since there is only a judges primary and a primary in District 2 in the City of Madison.

Too Much Cold Medicine Round Up

Well, and a couple guinni . . . and I didn't want to get up this morning. Luckily, I have hours to spare this morning, since I'll be working again on Saturday.

Super Committee Meeting to Fund Non-profits Recap

Last night there was a joint committee meeting between the Community Development Block Grant Committee, Community Services Committee, Committee on Aging and Early Childhood Care and Education Committee. 3 of the 4 didn't have quorum, so it was just a meeting of the Community Services Committee. They discussed the new funding process for non-profits and for the first time I saw, gave us the time line.
