Even if you don't care about the 50+ tenant landlord law changes in AB183 (22 tenants rights at the state level and 25 or more at the local level), you should care about the sham that the Assembly Republicans, Realtors Association and Madison Area Apartment Association are making out of our democracy. Bill passed in 15 days or less?

City Week Ahead: Two Days

Meetings Scheduled for Monday and Tuesday only . . . there will be Overture meetings by MAD and 201 State on Tuesday as well, at least that is what they announced last week, they just don't have their agendas in yet. Cuz, you know, they love to keep the public informed.

City Budget – 1st Quarter Report

Well . . . police and fire seem to be having the biggest negative impact on our budget, spending too much. And Room Taxes and building permit fees aren't bringing in as much money as we thought . . . Police and Fire spend whatever they want and we just pay it, business community over-promises. And we let it happen year, after year, after year. And guess what, this is going to be the worst budget ever in the history of the universe! So, predictable.

Housing Available!

The waiting lists and closed lists for housing programs are just silly with this approximately 2% vacancy rate - but for a few lucky people with the exact right circumstances there is a glimmer of hope . . .
