Wow. Occupy has been camping in the parks for quite some time (a year), but I've never seen anything like this . . . the campers I talked to had no idea what this is about . . . and I'm kinda creeped out by it.

So, the final vote on the city budget will likely be tonight. 4 amendments of interest to folks who have been seeking services for our friends without homes in the community . . . 5 - 6 years later, might we finally get restrooms?

Um, there is none. City lists one meeting that is cancelled and the county has nothing listed. Everyone enjoy the week off!

Well, this is what the piece of paper says . . . allegedly aldeers make it known if they want to talk about an issue and then any issue that the public speaks to is also fair game.

Apparently, there was an informational meeting for downtown neighbors at Gates of Heaven on the 24th, somehow, I missed that.

Wow! This says something about our priorities and speaks directly to equity. Please, don't show up, the public is sooooo pesky! Over 150 meetings were scheduled after the city weekly meeting schedule comes out late Friday afternoon since the beginning of the year . . . why? Most of these meeting people had less than 72 hours notice before thy started. And the patterns show that most of the topics covered in these meetings have to do with poverty and equity issues.

Wow, this is just kind of funny now. Bill called me the next morning, then sent me the memo and encouraged me to share it. Here's the bombshell mystery document and my responses to it.

CDBG will be talking about this on tonight at the city, Homeless Issues Committee will be talking about it on Tuesday. So, here's my list of gaps, what am I missing?

Homeless out on the streets for Christmas because it is not less than 20 degrees outside? It worries me this time of year that is stressful for people in the best of living conditions.
