Working 60 - 70 hours a week and trying to have a life have interfered, so I've been a bit negligent. Here's a few things to get caught up . . . Edgewater noise, changes at family shelter, see the vendors who applied to work on police policy and procedure, late meeting notices, OM Village needs volunteers for hte store and then the surprise temporary plan for the day resource center and Schenk's Corner Block Party this Friday and Saturday!

Real meeting times this week - 7am, 8:30am, 3:45, 1pm, 7:45 am, 9am, 2:30pm and 8:45. You can't make this shit up . . . that's about half the meetings during this short week. Zero regard for the public.

Of course, his name will still appear on the ballot . . .

What amendments will the council discuss, what does the Mayor think of those amendments and their hopes and dreams to finish the budget in one night . . . tonight!

This time, it looks like they have the votes on Monday! And they may be out by Tuesday! The mayor may finally win. (I hear he's seeming less grumpy and excited about winning.) But I have to say, if he is worried about crime, violence and rape . . . sending people back to the bushes puts many of these folks at risk to be victims of theft, battery, and yes, rape. Imagine being a single woman hiding so you can sleep, but being afraid to sleep because of your safety. This is all so very backwards. See below for meeting details and what you can do!

Short week, but still plenty going on.

Nothing? No items of interest for any council members? I highly doubt it.

That means arts. Music. Theater. Dance. etc. What do you think Madison should be doing better or more? Your input is needed starting next week.

Council fixes their mistake.

For some, today is Friday . . .

Thanking Occupy and creating the same committee the city did . . . despite council concerns that they wouldn't. They can't really fix what the council did, since they don't control the land that Occupy is on, but they're doing what they can.
