How do they think we should deal with alcohol use downtown? Is the program limiting the number of licenses in a random area really working?

I'm wondering if they will let the advocates participate? We all know that better solutions are arrived at when opposing parties work together to come up with solutions that are acceptable to both parties. But I doubt we will be invited to the table. It would be an awesome discussion if allowed.

Sigh . . .

For the third year in a row, as we head towards winter, there still is no plan for a permanent, comprehensive day center - despite the fact that the county has had 10 months and $695,000 to find a building. Incompetence? Are staff undermining the elected officials? Is there any logical explanation about what is going on?

For nonprofit staff, that right is being denied or at least highly discouraged by the City (and County?).

This has passed their Economic Development and Executive Committees and the Board is voting on it tomorrow. If you know anyone on the DMI Board you may want to try talking to them.
