Based on looking at the budget and summary, you won't be able to tell - but its true, they called me and told me on my birthday, July 20th. The official department budget request was submitted Friday. Parisi is holding his budget listening sessions tomorrow and Wednesday. That was a surprise announcement to most of us last week. The hearings will be held in Fitchburg and Sun Prairie. Please read on to see how this all unfolded to the best of my ability - given that most of what happened will be kept a secret until after the budget has passed.

So many of the recent meetings about the Downtown Plan are during the day and I haven't been able to make the meetings - so last night I checked in to the Economic Development Committee and got a really bizarre vision for the downtown. You gotta check this out.

So, we finally finished (as much as humanly possible) the analysis of the "modernization" of landlord-tenant law bill- this is the best we could do to explain the bill and issues in plain English.

I'd really like to see all 400 show up and test the alleged rules of the shelter systems that seem to be shifting and don't seem to reflect reality. If we have a cooling shelter, why not a blizzard shelter?
