Chief Koval: Educate Thyself.
I started to read his blog post complaining about the Homeless Services Consortium, and couldn't get past the first line. Long story short: we'd like him and the police department to talk to us!!!!!! They refuse, have for a long time. Check this out, we have such a very long ways to go!!!!!
Alders & Mayor Respond: How will they help with transparency?
I sent and email on Monday and waited three days. I wanted to know how they would help with meeting postings and getting timely information to the public in increase transparency and participation - a goal that is necessary to increase racial equity - to hear from voices that are impacted. Madison Schools Week Ahead
2 meetings tomorrow! The closed session is weird, I have no clue what they will be discussing, but it seems it could be just about anything. It appears to possibly be three different items?
County Week Ahead
15 meetings . . . only 6 during the day and they all start at noon or before . . .
City Week Ahead
Only 15 meetings, one cancelled . . . honestly, I can't and don't keep up with all the changes throughout the week, its kinda overwhelming and ridiculous to post about it every day . . . at the moment, there are at least 4 agendas missing that we know of - typical offenders - Madison Food Policy Committee, Public Market Committee, Community Development Block Grant Committee and who knows what will be added to that throughout the week.
Police Unions lose credibility . . .
These statements are absurd.
Tony Robinson: Why’d the Insurance Company Settle?
A week before going to trial, the insurance company - a professional risk assessor - found the risk to be too great, approached the family and settled for $3.35M. They apparently also asked the family to wait to say anything - meanwhile, had the police union, Chief Koval and the Mayor all out there complaining about the settlement, playing the victim and once again blaming the family and their supporters. Question is, what motivated the insurance company to settle? Let's take a look!
