So says the Mayor! Standing up for the LGBTQ community, emphasis on the T.

Landmarks Commission will be talking about the scope of services in the Request for Proposals (RFP) that will be going out, talking about it TONIGHT!. Before you start snoozing at that boring language . . . this is the part that matters. What you get depends upon what you ask for!

This will be discussed tonight at the Plan Commission, Wednesday at ALRC and Thursday at Downtown Coordinating Committee. Question is, does anyone but the mayor think this is a good idea? Or necessary?

I feel so incompetent, it looks like there is only one meetings this week - that may or may not be true. You figure it out. Of course, that one meeting is during the day.

14 meetings, all but 5 are on Wednesday. And only 6 are after 5:00 (public unwelcome/not encouraged to attend)

20 meetings . . . 9 of them before 5:00 . . . public not welcome/encouraged to attend.

3 more . . . 2 tomorrow, 1 Friday

The mayor and I are a lot alike in some regards. Good idea Mayor.

Sigh . . . I don't get it. Every time the council gets together to talk about how hard their jobs are they just look whiny and incompetent. Seriously, they can just use the power they already have to solve the problems they think they have. Please see my open letter to the council below.

I might be being dense here, but there is nothing new in this that Lynn Green hasn't been saying all along. There appears to be no feedback mechanism at the moment, except to email Lynn Green and Casey Becker, but I don't know what happens with that feedback (likely nothing, like the rest of our feedback so far) and then I'm unclear what the next steps are except to go right to a RFP, with no public discussion of this.

It's a public meeting, but there will be no public comment. I'm not sure why they don't want to hear from the public, but I think it stinks. It's our public body that represents us, changing how they represent us, but apparently we shouldn't worry our pretty little heads about it.
