Guess what happens when people are more likely to get information regarding county meetings from your blog than the county website? Government asks you to post the *notice of cancellation* of the Comp Plan Steering Committee meeting (on housing) which was scheduled for tonight. Please and thank you. And, I understand if you can't get to it. It is not your job. (But Todd V. is nice and he asked nicely, fwiw. :)

Council to Public: Meh.

Council essentially says to the public: You don't really need to know what is going on with changing police policies . . . we'll get it to you when we want to, despite it being 2 months since a Madison police officer shot and killed Tony Robinson. No hurry.

Try as I might, I haven't gotten back into the daily grind of doing the daily round up, but I'm going to try again this week, there is so much going on, that I haven't been able to keep up with!

MMSD Schools Week Ahead

Maybe. Apparently looking at the legal notices on Monday morning isn't sufficient, you have to look in several places to find out what is really going on.

What we now know about the Veterans Housing on E. Washington Ave.

It sounds good to have housing for veterans - it does. But will veterans actually end up living there? They have a preference, but if no veterans apply, the housing will go to others. And, in reality, no homeless people will live there. Is that how we want to be using our tax dollars? ($2M of county funds, plus city funds?, plus other tax dollars?)
