Mayor Dave and Common Council Members:

Moody’s has officially reaffirmed the City of Madison’s Aaa bond rating in advance of our scheduled bond and note sale next Tuesday. In addition to our strong local economy, their report identifies the City’s solid financial operations, strong budgetary control, favorable reserve levels, modest debt burden and aggressive debt retirement as reasons that Madison continues to receive the highest credit rating available, even during these times of economic stress.

This rating is a reflection of the sound financial decisions you have made in the past and demonstrates a high level of confidence that you will continue that stewardship of City finances into the future.

Congratulations!
Dean Brasser
