If you live in one of those areas where parking is restricted on one side of the street for a couple hours every week – you’ve been warned. While they sporadically ticket, and they hardly ever tow, that will not be the case this week!
From the City of Madison on Friday . . . if you have weekly parking restrictions on your streets for Monday or Tuesday, you could be ticketed and/or towed.

Subject: Clean Streets Clear Lakes Week of January 27
Hello, everyone.
As you are aware, we are performing a citywide plowing operation tonight without declaring a snow emergency.
We do not need to declare a snow emergency because of the year-round CSCL parking restrictions in your districts. The CSCL restrictions will give us ample opportunity to get the snow cleared all the way back to the curb in the coming days.
This also means there will be strict enforcement of these posted parking rules next week as we clean up from this storm. We need people to follow these parking rules so we can get the snow pushed back to the curb.
We are working through plans with Parking Enforcement to ticket and tow violators on Monday and Tuesday of next week at least.
With that said, anytime someone violates a parking restriction they can be towed. So folks should be following the rules at all times.
Next week will be of particular importance though due to the snowstorm of the past few days.
If you have any questions, let me know.
