– Members of the Common Council have been invited to attend a fire sprinkler side-by- side demonstration by the Madison Fire Department on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 6:15 p.m., located outside of the City-County Building at 210 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
The MFD invites Alders to observe a fire sprinkler side-by-side demonstration. Fires will be set in two rooms, one with fire sprinklers and one without. The demonstration is a dramatic comparison of how fast fire develops and how effective fire sprinklers are in quenching a fire. Home fire sprinklers are the next logical step in reducing the number of lives lost annually due to unwanted fires in the home. The introduction and demonstration will take about 15 minutes.
