GUIDE TO THE WEEK AHEAD
What is listed here
All the meetings and agendas that are posted at the time of publishing this blog post are here. I noted the items I think people will be interested in or are not routine items, you may want to click on the links to the agendas to make sure I didn’t miss anything. I generally list routine reports as “Reports” even when there are a dozen or more reports, especially if nothing is attached in legistar. These are the meetings that were posted at close of business on Friday in legistar and may change throughout the week. I do my best to update through Mo’ Meetings on the home page throughout the week if I’m aware of changes. If you think I missed anything, please don’t hesitate to let me know at forwardlookout@gmail.com. Here is the guide to how I put the city week ahead together.
Listen on WORT
For highlights of the most interesting or popular items, listen to WORT FM live on Monday at 6:00 on their Local News Segment or listen to WORT Local News – Monday in the archives. For an extended version of our WORT segment, see the home page on the right hand side.
Timely news and meeting updates
For those of you who are weekly readers of “The Week Ahead” you may also be interested in checking out the home page that aggregates (round ups) the local news multiple times a day instead of waiting for daily “round up” post. This also has the Mo’ Meetings that used to be their own post. To submit government related press releases or let us know about any errors, email at forwardlookout@gmail.com
The new world of coronavirus
All city committees are prohibited from meeting unless the mayor and council president allow the meetings to be called. There was a short list of meeting that were allowed to continue, but I believe it has changed and it has not been communicated to committee chairs what they are supposed to be doing at this time. Instructions for joining the meeting in purple below. Meetings where the council is voting without recommendations from committees in orange if it’s clearly noted on the agenda.
