HONORING RESOLUTIONS
– Proclaiming October 18, 2012 as “Lights On Afterschool Day”. It was adorable, they had a 5 year old speak about what they liked about the program. They did a slideshow.
– Proclaiming October 2012 as Polish-American Heritage Month in the City of Madison.

Clear point out 3 has to be a public hearing as well.
I think the items to discuss yet are items, 3 & 4 (zoning code), 7 (budget), 11 (alder salary), 25 (Garver Feed Mill Masonry Distress Study).
EARLY PUBLIC COMMENT
Nan Fey, chair of the Plan Commission thanks everyone, says that she staff has had time to develop analysis on some late issues, but not one such as a possible proposed James Madison Park amendments, which she urges them to reject. She says if people don’t have information tonight, add those items to the list for more consideration instead of referring the whole ordinance.

PUBLIC HEARING ON THE BUDGET
Overture Center Foundation had several people here.
People showed up to support a day center.
4Cs talked about the need to look at federal and state formulas that fund us.
Susan Schmidt lobbyist from Downtown Madison Inc showed up to support Overture.
More testimony on Brentwood Community Center.
Missed the registrants. But there were about 20 other folks registered, but many did not say what they were registered for or it wasn’t read.
It was 8:50 by the time the public hearings were over on the zoning code. I will do that in another post.
