Home Compost Bin and Rain Barrel Sale This Saturday May 12th
The City of Madison and Dane County will hold their annual home compost bin and rain barrel sale on Saturday May 12th. This one day only sale will feature the Earth Machine Home Composter. The Earth Machine will be on sale for $45 tax included. Also on sale will be the Systern rain barrel for $55.
“The bin sale is a very popular event and this year we will have 1,000 bins and 1,000 rain barrels available,” Madison recycling coordinator George Dreckmann said.
The bins and barrels will be sold at the Alliant Energy Center from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Or while supplies last. People should use the Olin Av entrance.
The bins sale will be held rain or shine and bins are sold on a first come first served basis. The sites will accept cash or checks, Visa and Master Card.
“You do not need to be a Madison or Dane County resident to purchase a compost bin or rain barrel,” Dreckmann said. “You can also purchase as many bins or barrels as you would like.”
