Ok, I’ve probably just been to too many of these events to be anything but critical . . . but this isn’t really what I expected to hear in the first 3 minute opening statements of the County Executive Candidates. They seemed odd to me. What do you think? Is this what you would spend your three minutes on?
I think the race is boring. Scott Walker, Jobs and Taxes. Some talk of support for Human Services which will likely not result in the needed changes due to the last 10 years of neglect. I guess I just want specifics and I want to hear what will change, not buzz words. Otherwise, it sounds nice, and results in nothing.
In the order they appeared at the debate . . .
SCOTT MCDONELL
ZACH BRANDON
JOE PARISI
JOE WINEKE
EILEEN BRUSKEWITZ
So? Your thoughts?
The full debate should be edited by Thursday, and will be on my show for the next week or so . . . and on blip.tv (Here it is!)
For as much Joe Wineke talked about his past work experience, he failed to mention his work as a lobbyist for AT&T, when he worked for a deregulation bill that was bad for consumers.
I guess if I did that kind of mercenary work, I wouldn’t mention it either…
