So tired of people who resign and people being appointed instead of elected into these positions.
From the Dane County Board Chair, Patrick Miles
Dane County Board Dist. 10 Vacancy
Timeline, Process and Information Regarding Vacancies
There is currently a vacancy for District 10 (City of Madison Wards 86, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 115) on the Dane County Board of Supervisors that will be filled by temporary appointment. This position was previously filled by Aaron Collins, who resigned effective November 11, 2024.
“I greatly appreciate the leadership that Supervisor Collins brought to the Board,” said County Board Chair Patrick Miles. “I wish him the very best in his future endeavors. I encourage anyone interested to submit their paperwork and participate in the public hearing for consideration to fill this important role in representing people in the 10th District.”
At this point in the term, County ordinances provide for a vacancy to be filled by temporary appointment by the County Board chairperson, with confirmation by the County Board. This seat will be on the ballot of the April 1, 2025 spring election, to fill the remainder of the term. The County Board intends to act on the appointment at its regularly-scheduled meeting on December 19, 2024 at 7:00pm.
