- CJC endorsement of CJC-BH work on CAHOOTS and a Triage and Restoration Center
The Criminal Justice Council supports the ongoing work of the Criminal Justice Council (CJC)-Behavioral Health subcommittee
in analysis of the concept of a behavioral health emergency response initiative such as the CAHOOTS/STAR model, as well as the planning and development of a triage and restoration center to serve as an alternative for those who do not require inpatient or emergency department care or jail. Further, the CJC directs the CJC-Behavioral Health subcommittee to serve as a forum for information regarding behavioral health emergency response initiatives; and to take the lead in oversight of planning efforts for
a triage and restoration center, to include developing a concept plan regarding services, a space plan, and identification of costs and resources. The CJC requests quarterly updates on the progress of the plan from the CJC-BH subcommittee Chair.

The Criminal Justice Council supports the planning and development work within the CJC-Racial Disparities subcommittee for a Dane County Community Justice Center.
The CJC endorses the use of previously budgeted $100,000 to further the in depth planning and analysis. The CJC requests quarterly updates on the progress of the plan from the CJC-Racial Disparities subcommittee Chairs.
