This is from Voces de la Frontera – 3 days left to donate to help get Edin released from ICE detention.
Edin Omar Ponce Velazquez is an asylum-seeker from Santa Cruz de Yojoa in Honduras who is currently detained by ICE in Kenosha County. Edin has been granted a $5,000 bond, but he only has until April 9th to pay.

Click here to donate $20, $50, or $100 to help pay Edin’s bond.
We need to raise this money before April 9th so Edin can be released from detention, secure legal representation, and fight his case.
Edin fled Honduras in September 2018, after police beat him severely and threatened to kill him because of his activism in a political party. After a dangerous journey through Mexico, Edin arrived in the United States in November 2018, and has been detained by ICE since then.

If we are not able to raise this money to pay Edin’s bond, he will most likely be deported to Honduras, where his life will be in danger. Many asylum seekers who have been deported back to Honduras have been murdered, including Santos Chirino and Nelson Espinal. Please donate today.
