Personally, it just seem wrong to absentee vote if you can get to the polls on election day . . . but I know its popular and some people can’t get there . . . so . . . .
Clerk’s Office Extended Hours for Absentee Voting
The Madison City Clerk’s Office will offer extended hours for absentee voting this Saturday, February 12, from 9 a.m. to noon.
The Clerk’s Office has issued 2,793 absentee ballots for this election. Forty-nine percent of those ballots have been returned to be counted. Ballots must be returned to the Clerk’s Office by Election Day in order to be counted.
For comparison, the Clerk’s Office issued 2,435 absentee ballots for the February 2007 Primary. Fifty-three percent of absentee ballots were returned to be counted in February 2007.
Voters can check the status of their absentee ballot requests through the Voter Public Access website, https://vpa.wi.gov.
