So, if Mark Clear says it will be two years before the Edgewater moves forward due to the lawsuit, why are we working to put it in a TIF district?

Beyond the gerrymander of the map, the whole idea that building a luxury hotel plaza will likely lead to upgrades of any significance in the “blight” identified with various properties is absurd. I know that it is part of how TIDs work, but let’s be real. Ten years from now the foundations will still be stained and the siding dirty.
But if you keep going with the map, pretty soon the entire Capitol will be surrounded! Nice picture, isn’t it?
