Edgewatery Goodness Week Ahead (Updated)

For those of you trying to follow the crazy Edgewater schedule . . . Additional meetings added after this was posted are here.

Last week, Brad Murphy updated the schedule for the project, so here that is. (Note: I modified the document by crossing out the dates that have already passed) This week there is at least one additional meeting not on his schedule and a few things missing from the official schedule that should be there.

Monday, February 1, 2010
5:30 PM PLAN COMMISSION DOWNTOWN PLAN WORKING SESSION ROOM LL-110 MMB
– The meeting is not televised and public comment not necessarily encouraged as it is a working session for the plan commissioners. Here’s what they will be discussing:

1) Generalized Land Use Map
2) Conceptual Pattern of Building Heights Map
3) Preliminary Parcel Analysis Map
4) Sub Area Descriptions

– While the Edgewater isn’t scheduled per se, there are several issues wrapped up in the Edgewater project that may come up – especially lake views and development in historic districts.

Tuesday, February 2, 2010
6:30 PM COMMON COUNCIL ROOM 201 CCB
– There were no official referrals for items expected. I would expect they will be introduced from the floor on Tuesday. The Tax Incremental Finance Agreement should be introduced.

Wednesday, February 3, 2010
4:30 PM URBAN DESIGN COMMISSION MMB ROOM 260
Edgewater (no earlier than 7:30) Even tho they have been to Urban Design 5 or 6 times, this is the first time they have submitted a completed application and are actually seeking initial approval.

5:00 PM ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE MMB ROOM 300
Edgewater 5:15

Board of Public works should be meeting to discus the amendment to the 1965 ordinance. This was not on the weekly schedule as of Friday.

Thursday, February 4, 2010
7:00 PM DOWNTOWN NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING REGARDING PROPOSED REDEVELOPMENT OF EDGEWATER HOTEL – POSSIBLE QUORUM OF THE COMMON COUNCIL 211 N CARROLL ST ROOM D240 – MATCH DOWNTOWN EDUCATION CENTER
– The press release actually says more about the meeting and provides more information (undescribed links) than the agenda. Note, tho, it doesn’t say the Hammes Company will be in attendance, does that seem odd? An oversight, I’m assuming?
