Yeah people, the budget has begun. Council member amendments for Board of Estimates due at noon today, to be voted on at the Board of Estimates on Monday!
Yeah, Summer is over. Monona Terrace opulence, SROs for homeless folks, whatever the police department wants, TIF for everyone! It’s here, its now. Remember, the Capital Budget is just the items that will last more than 10 years, one time purchases and large items that will need borrowing to pay for them.

10/1 – Council hearing on Board of Estimates budget
10/30 – Final council amendments due at noon
11/1 – We get to see the final amendments
11/5 – Capital budget deliberations and potential final vote (11/6 and 11/7 they also have meetings scheduled) – 5:30 council chambers
