RFP #113085: Purchase of a Location for a Day Resource Center

The county is re-issuing an RFP for a site for a Day Resource Center for the homeless in order to broaden the search from a location in central Madison to include sites which may be farther away from the central city, but which have access to bus service. Some sites which may be appropriate from a facility standpoint may not be located in the central city, but if bus service is available, they could now be considered in the search.

The list clearly isn’t complete, because I am aware of other properties that were also sent to them. And will make sure that they get sent again, I guess. I know some people don’t want to keep looking and just want to do the MARC building on Lien Rd. I still think it is worth it to explore other closer options if we UNBELIEVABLY are going to be looking at a screwed up temporary situation again this winter for the THIRD FREAKING YEAR IN A ROW. I’m so sick of the incompetence or failure to make this a priority.
