They’ll be talking about it today at 3pm – you’re all going right? I won’t, I’ll be in a meeting for work . . . but have no fear, they have a fancy plan to get input. Head’s up – it includes ONE public meeting for input. ONE.
I tried to read it, it kinda hurt my brain. To break it down, I think it boils down to they asking for public input in 9 different ways between mid-May and mid-September. Their input will be gathered through:
2 meetings with neighborhood groups
– Round table discussion with South Madison Planning Council
– Participatory workshop with surrounding neighborhoods)
2 meetings with Adjacent property owners and Businesses
– Focus group and interviews with key site owners
– Focus group and roundtable discussion
1 Business Stakeholder Leadership Meeting
– Roundtable Discussion
4 Opportunities for the Broader Public
– Tour of the property/Open House
– Survey (on-line and at “major events”)
– Major Events
– – Brat Fest
– – Ask CARPC or City of Madison to include some questions about our process in their outreach
– – Art Fair on the Square
– – County Fair
– – Concert on the Square
– – Ethnic Festivals in town
