You can call it being a spoiler if you want, but so far, the choices to challenge Walker are uninspiring.We need a true progressive candidate to run, its not enough to go back to good enough, our state deserves better.

The Wisconsin Green Party is committed to the election of a governor who is an ally of the progressive movement. Scott Walker should be replaced, but not by someone with a history of demanding concessions from unions or who has betrayed the environment, family farms, treaty rights or local democracy.
Given the current declared candidates for governor, and given in particular the history of the apparent front-runners, we are considering support for an independent gubernatorial candidate.

So, yeah. At our meeting last weekend, it became clear that Falk was far from acceptable (especially from Dane County Greens), Barrett wasn’t any better (especially from Milwaukee Greens), Vinehout has her issues, and its shaping up to be one of those votes where you would have to hold your nose when you vote. So, we’re looking for a better choice. There has to be a better choice. Right?
We need a truly progressive Democrat to step up, or we need an independent progressive to jump in.
