Join the motorcade or help to circle the jail while practicing social distancing and making yourself heard!
The Party for Socialism and Liberation – Madison has posted this in their facebook event..
The Sheriff, DA, circuit court judges, and the Dane County Board of Supervisors have done almost nothing to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the Dane County Jail. While the number of prisoners diagnosed with COVID-19 increases every day, prisoners have told PSL that the sheriff’s deputies don’t even bother to wear masks or gloves.
PSL has been protesting for weeks at the homes of key decisionmakers demanding that they #FreeThemAll and now it’s time for us to show our solidarity with people inside the jail.
Join us on Saturday to make sure people on the inside know that they aren’t alone. Bring drums, pots and pans, guitars, and most importantly, your singing and chanting voices to make some noise.
There are two ways to engage while practicing social distancing:
1. Join the motorcade! Decorate your car with signs and join us in circling the jail honking our horns.
2. Park offsite and stand on on the sidewalk, maintaining 10-15 feet of distance from other people.
