Local Musicians Coming Out To Support WYOU Community Television’s 2010 Year-End Fund Drive from December 5 – December 12

Performances will be shown live via UStream in addition to airing on Charter Channels 95 and 991 during the 8-day fund drive.

Madison, WI – Just Say “HO!” It’s the Year-End, Tax-Deductible, Celebrate-All Holiday Fundraiser to support WYOU Community Television. The 2010 Year-End On-Air Pledge drive runs Sunday, December 5 – Sunday, December 12 and the station hopes to raise $10,000.

Musical artists of all genres will be out in force to create fun, festive and song-filled shows meant to delight and entertain as WYOU asks viewers for financial support. Artists scheduled to perform include The Type, Ken Lonnquist Trio, Kelly Bleigh, The Raging Grannies, Beth Kille, Steve Schad and many more. Each artist will perform a 25-minute set including a holiday-themed song and all performances can be viewed live via UStream. The link for the WYOU’s UStream is http://www.ustream.tv/user/WYOU. Each artist performance will air repeatedly on WYOU during the eight-day fund drive on Charter Channels 95 (analog) and 991 (digital). Programs will also stream via WYOU’s website (www.wyou.org.). Both the artists’ performance schedule as well as the cablecast schedule can be viewed on WYOU’s website (www.wyou.org.)

Donations to support WYOU can be made by calling the station (608.258.9644) or by visiting the website and donating online at www.wyou.org. Volunteers will be available to assist with your pledge and answer any questions you may have. Donations can be made via check, Mastercard, Visa and Paypal.

WYOU is the public access television station serving the city of Madison and Dane County in Wisconsin. The station has been a resource to the citizens of Madison since 1976 for the production and distribution of locally produced programs. Our producers include students and teachers, conservationists, social workers, accountants, activists, healthcare workers, independent filmmakers and members of local religious organizations. Our mission is to stimulate and facilitate open community use of the public access station for the development of local television programming. We educate the community in the use of digital cameras and editing software and provide facilities for independent producers to learn how to create programs.
