Just When Your Thought Construction Season Was Winding Down

Big closures on East Washington Avenue inbound . . . you might need to find a different way to get to work . . . but PLEASE! respect our neighborhoods on both sides of the avenue when you do. Please.

ATC WORK ON E WASHINGTON – CLOSED LANES
From Alder Rummel:

I received a letter from ATC providing information about upcoming underground transmission line construction work under E Washington.

“ATC contractors will be working in two inbound traffic lanes from 1st to Paterson in November. The work involves cable pulling and splicing from manhole to manhole under EWA. During this time, the two lanes near the median will be closed. Traffic will be shifted to the third lane and the on-street parking/bike lane. There will be no interruption of electrical service to the area.

Work will be conducted throughout November. The anticipated schedule is as follows:

Nov 1-5: Two inbound lanes closed morning to early evening
Nov 6-24 Two inbound lanes closed 24 hours a day for approximately 2 weeks

We will work in coordination with the City of Madison to minimize effects on traffic during these necessary lane closures. ATC’s contractors for this work will be W.A. Chester, LLC and Mega Rentals, Inc., and all individuals performing this work will carry proper indentification.

Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I can be reached by phone at 608-877-3624 or by email sjustus@atcllc.com. Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation while we work to strengthen electric reliability in Madison.

Sincerely,

Sarah Justus
Local Relations manager”
