I have a bit of a mystery that I’d like some help with.
A person came in to the Tenant Resource Center and was concerned about getting their belongings back. They were on State Street on the 200 – 300 block (shoot, I forgot to clarify that!) and they had laid out some things on the sidewalk and had a couple duffle bags with their name and number on them and some art supplies. It was a “free store” type set up. This was on Saturday, May 1st, the day of the Mifflin Street Block party. Friends say that the police came and took the items, sometime between 4 and 8. The police say they don’t have the items. He’d like some help from anyone who might have seen anything to try to figure out what happened to the items. Some homeless folks in the area said the police usually throw out things that they consider abandoned and they thought that was what happened, but there is no evidence of that at the moment.
