Going old school . . . there’s a bunch of stuff at the end that I didn’t yet add to the events calendar, so they are here for now . . . Whoa . . . .I thought I published this this morning . . . sorry about that . . .
BAD FOR MADISON PLAN JUST BAD?
As the struggle to figure out how to make the police and fire radios interoperable for the county, it looks like the plan where the City of Madison pays a huge chunk of the bill (millions) isn’t that acceptable either. Stay tuned . . . looks like they are working on another plan.
MORRISSEY LIKES THE POT
Not exactly the type of pot advocate I’d expect . . . but he makes a good point. How much is this war on drugs costing us?
MOVING DAY
It’s been so quiet this year, not a constant barrage of garbage trucks . . . looks like they backed off a little this year, which is good. “NOBODY” stays at the church . . . first the ASM program failed, now this one. Maybe the August 15th thing isn’t as bad as people think?
STUDENTS AREN’T WEARING NO STINKIN’ ID
Hmmm . . . lack of compliance leads Verona to nix their ID program.
THE CITIES MAJOR CORRIDORS
Move the bus barn to make more room for development on E. Washington? Um, don’t we have plenty of land there to be revitalized? And its not like the Mautz paint site isn’t for sale. Do we need another vacant property there? And the entire time we were doing the E Washington BUILD wasn’t Metro insisting they stay where they are? And didn’t the Gorman project on E Washington fail because of the Mayor? No wonder he is urging patience.
NICE SPIN
“Driver cited” story doesn’t even mention what the person who caused the accident was charged with. Interesting focus on the story – and they call it a liberal media.
HOW’D THIS GUY GET HIRED . . .
By the Wisconsin State Journal? I wonder how long he’ll last. . . he certainly doesn’t fit their m.o. Great comments about the “NOT the whiteman’s bitch” candidate.
JOBS AND PUBLIC SAFETY
Two of the biggest issues in the city, right. So any issue that works towards those two concepts should be a no-brainer, right? Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha . . . not. I wonder what the mayor does with this in his budget?
RACISM WORKSHOP
“Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that” – Martin Luther King Jr.
HOW CAN WHITE COMMUNITY MEMBERS DO OUR PART TO BUILD A STRONGER MOVEMENT FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE?
