And I’m surprised to learn this: “Mayor Dave Cieslewicz requires ALRC members to attend a tour of establishments or take part in a police ride-along each year, Verveer said.” Really? Maybe they shouldn’t be appointed if they have so little experience.

I love the push to get the library done, but what is it that we’re getting done? Anyone know? What will it look like, what will it include, and where will the library go during rebuilding? And how is it they don’t need to amend the budget? I agree, rebuilding is better, better lets be reasonable and not rush into it before we make more mistakes.

This is kinda absurd, there has to be a better solution, preferably one where the city doesn’t charge the school for whatever it is. Safe crossings by schools should be a priority.
