More Changes to the City-County Building Policies

I’m not sure this was voted on by the City-County Liaison Committee. Parts of it may have been, parts of it have not been as far as I know.

To City-County Building Staff,

Beginning Monday October 10th at 6:00 p.m. and routinely thereafter, the exterior Carroll Street entrance doors will be locked at the same time the interior doors are locked. The north set of entry doors (the doors closest to Doty Street) will be accessible to building staff anytime they are locked via card access at the card reader installed on the mullion between the doors.

The new doors that were installed earlier this year will make it possible to keep the Carroll Street lobby area secure for CCB staff entering and exiting the building for work during the time the City-County Building is closed to the public. In addition to the new doors, other improvements such as new ceiling, lighting, and security cameras were installed around the same time.

The exterior card reader was programmed so that if you are a regular card access user at the interior door (closest to the fire alarm panel), your card will also work on the exterior reader as well.

The designated OPEN hours for the Carroll Street entrance are Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. excluding weekends and holidays.

Thank you.
