Join them on the Square Saturday at 3pm.
I apologize for the mass nature of this email. But, I got your email addresses from the City of Madison’s Neighborhood Association website. http://www.cityofmadison.com/neighborhoods/profile/association_contact_list.html
My name is Jeff Glazer, I am President of the Dunn’s Marsh Neighborhood Association. I am not looking to start an email flame-war, nor am I looking to stir any pots, nor am I looking to incite riot. I am simply making you aware that our Neighborhood Association, along with the Allied-Dunn’s Marsh Neighborhood Association, are planning on protesting on the Square in Madison on Saturday, March 19 (this Saturday), at 3pm or so.
Our reasons are fairly simple. Our Neighborhood Association has many members in low-income brackets that will be directly affected by Gov Walker’s Proposed Budget. Not only will it cut social welfare programs, but it will cut funding for basic social services including early-childhood education and health services that many of my members rely on. We feel our voices need to be heard.
Your neighborhood may or may not feel that your neighborhood or its members will be impacted; you may even feel that this proposed budget will help your members. That’s fine. This email is only to make you aware of our activity and to invite you, if you are interested, to join us on the Square.
Also, it’s a handy email to have everyone else’s email addresses to make communication amongst neighborhood associations easier.
Thank you for you time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey M Glazer
President, Dunn’s Marsh Neighborhood Association
