Some of this will be repeats from the other round up, this is the medias version of the same information. And, a little that wasn’t included in the last posts.
37 COUNTY SUPERVISORS, KATHLEEN FALK AND COUNTY TREASURER DAVE WORZALA VS. MAYOR DAVE
So much for good intergovernmental relations. Doesn’t seem very “civil”. The Board of Estimates meeting on this was interesting, but I never finished that post.
LIBRARY ARCHITECT CHOSEN
Not super exciting news, but the library is moving forward.
ECONOMY RECOVERING
And they didn’t even need those “jobs” from the Edgewater to do it!
RAIL MEETING
I went to this meeting, also didn’t finish a post for this morning, but I will, this was one wild, weird meeting. I can’t blame people for their frustration in being promised a public process when there was no public process to pick the station.
TRAINING ON CAMPUS
Don’t freak out . . . there’s supposed to be injured people and cops with guns drawn.
VEGTABLES AT THE CAPITAL
On the grounds, not inside! I’m not talking about Nass, or Grothman.
$400,000 HOME, $0 IN UTILITY BILLS
This is interesting.
PAINT SHORTAGE
Bike boxes have paint, roads don’t. That’s not going to play well with the AM radio types.
MADISON #7
In innovation.
PARK AND BIKE
You might notice some names from that bike trip in Europe, they sure got their money’s worth with that trip. Also, this all came together quickly, me thinks the trip was unnecessary.
MADISON PROCESS LOOKING GOOD
Huh. Who knew, its easier to get a project approved in Madison.
DENSITY FOR GREEN BUILDING
Didn’t work for affordable housing, but green building is more popular, so it will probably work better.
97 WISCONSIN BANKS IN TROUBLE
Not good. Where’d all that bailout money go?
Ok, that’s what I have for today . . . still missed a bunch from this last weekend and late last week and early this week.
