So, I got the following message from someone this evening . . .
The proposal to have the city sell the land underneath Lincoln School was defeated by the Parks Commission unanimously this evening, despite support from the Mayor, the alder, both neighborhood associations, DMI and both Madison newspapers, plus ULI offered to stipulate that the city could buy back the land for the acquisition price plus CPI adjustments in the event of a catastrophic loss of the building.I’ll talk to . . . tomorrow so . . . can report the details. A classic Madison evening.
