What a nice Mayor, not holding the appointments til hours before the meeting. Not sure I”m happy with some of these appointments, but we’ll wait and see what else happens with the citizen appointments to committees.

Thank you for meeting with us to discuss your district concerns and your preferences for committee appointments. Attached, please find the alder appointments report.

In making these appointments I considered alder requests, tried to achieve a geographic balance in committee composition, and avoided scheduling conflicts. We attempted to make some of these appointments interesting, giving council members an opportunity for new experiences and to provide new perspective on new committees.

If some members want to trade appointments, we are receptive to making adjustments.

We have left a vacant position for the council president on the Board of Estimates, and depending on who is elected to that position, we may recommend adjustments.
