Dane County Executive-Elect Parisi Names New Communications Director/Executive Assistant

Casey Slaughter Becker Appointed to Coordinate Media, External Relations
MADISON – Dane County Executive-elect Joe Parisi announced today that Casey Slaughter Becker will serve as his Communications Director/Executive Assistant starting April 19th.
Becker recently worked in the Wisconsin State Assembly for 6 years, focusing on communications, and external relations. During that time, Becker served as Former Assembly Speaker Mike Sheridan’s (D-Janesville) Communications Director, and also as a communications lead in Assembly Democratic leadership offices.
“Casey is the right person to ensure the public is stays informed about the challenging, important work our county faces in the months ahead,” Parisi said. “Her extensive experience will help ensure our county’s half-million citizens stay connected with their government.”
In addition to assisting many county departments with their media and external outreach, Becker will also serve as a liaison to a number of county departments for the County Executive-Elect. She will work on a range of issues from agriculture to the Dane County Henry Vilas Zoo.
Becker has deep roots in Dane County. She was born and raised in Sun Prairie, graduated from Sun Prairie High School, and earned her BA from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She currently lives in Verona with her husband, Daniel.
