Update from Brian Grady, the city staff for the City Redistricting Committee. Meeting tomorrow night, but its not on the weekly schedule.
Adoption of County Tentative Plan Delayed
As you may have heard, the County has delayed adoption of their tentative supervisory district plan. They have scheduled a Redistricting Subcommittee meeting for Thurs. May 26 at 6:00 in Room 351 CCB. They will likely adopt the tentative plan at their June 2 County Board meeting. With the change to their schedule, I am suggesting that the June 1 City Redistricting Committee meeting be cancelled since the County’s Plan won’t be adopted yet. Instead, I’d like to schedule a Committee meeting for sometime late in the week of June 6 or early in the week of June 13. We’ll add the following documents to Legistar later today or Wednesday morning. Plan 13 was submitted by a resident of the Greentree neighborhood. Staff is currently developing Plan 14 which attempts to address comments received over the last month and at the Community Input Meetings. The Ward Plan will be a work in progress since the County’s tentative plan hasn’t been finalized.
