Doh! I should have realized this when I was looking at the files yesterday – deadline extended til Friday at 5:00.Well, “files” is a bit of a misnomer. It’s more like wad of paper. Doesn’t really instill confidence, but it was more organized than I have seen in the past, each candidates papers were all clipped together and it was all in one place.
So, what wasn’t in the files was Sally Rohrer’s Notification of Non-Candidacy that was due on December 27th.

Candidate Filing Deadline Extended for 8th Aldermanic District
Wednesday, January 8, 2020 – 8:02am
The deadline to file papers to run for alderperson in Madison’s 8th district is extended to 5:00 pm Friday, Jan. 10.
The filing deadline is extended 72 hours whenever an incumbent not running for re-election does not file a declaration of non-candidacy by the deadline established by State Statute.
