The City Week Ahead

Here’s the items they want the public to know about . . . and then later this week other items will be added. I don’t know why there isn’t a rule that it has to be posted prior to Friday at noon, but it seems like there should be. I’m starting to list the full calendar which is also here and is likely to contain changes or additional items as the week goes along. I’m keeping all the agendas here, even if I didn’t find anything of interest so we can see the changes. Plus, the link changes every week, so the information quickly disappears. And Legistar isn’t the publicly notices meetings. (NOTE: 12 items were added on Monday, they can be found here.)

Giving up long term funding of housing programs. Short term gain, long term loss. City will have to put money into housing programs to keep them going.

– Ooops, the promises of the BioLink not going so well. Who’s surprised? When will the council stop entering into these hocus pocus deals? Here’s all their excuses about why they shouldn’t follow the same rules as anyone else. Thankfuly, no mention of the “Edgewater changed the rules”. You know, if they are doing so well, maybe they don’t need so much TIF?
