4:30 PM LONG RANGE PLANNING COMMITTEE (PARKS) ROOM 104 CCB
– Without the attachments for this meeting, hard to tell if its of interest or not. I’d like to see the list of capital improvements and make sure it has items on it that have been promised.
4:45 PM LANDMARKS COMMISSION ROOM LL-130 MMB
– Eight more upcoming demolitions There are many demolitions that go on every month, but Landmarks rarely says anything, but when they do, people act like they oppose all demolitions. I don’t think that fairly represents the facts.
5:30 PM PLAN COMMISSION ROOM 201
– Meriter
– 600 E Johnson (demolition of 11 houses, build 3 large apartment buildings)
Tuesday, May 5, 2009

6:30 PM COMMON COUNCIL ROOM 201 CCB
#7 – Java Cat petition to not widen Monona Drive as much, and have narrower sidewalks.
#8 – Definition of Demolition

12:00 PM PERSONNEL BOARD ROOM 525 CCB
– This is the most changes I’ve seen in a long time, pay close attention to what they are doing in the Human Resources Department and Community Development Block Grant. Looks like some reorganization activities. I always wished there was a rhyme or reason for who gets reclassified (and raises).
– New personnel rules, the first since 1970
5:00 PM ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION ROOM 313 MMB
– Stimulus funds discussion – no info available when I posted this.
